2006pontiac vibe8/10/2023 Most cars take around 24- 30 ounces of r134A. Evacuate the system with a good vacuum pump and recharge the car by VOLUME. Dump the current charge that you have and start over. If you have the tooling here's what I would do. The other symptom would be a defective blower motor but you state that the blower is running continuously so we'll rule that out. You either are undercharged OR have a plugged evaporator. The pressures you indicate tell me TWO things. As a refrigeration mechanic (mainly commercial and industrial) I've messed with my share of cars over the decades. I have some time so I'll give you my take on your problem. I cannot find any documentation on replacement or even location!Ĭan anyone help? Any suggestions? Am I missing something? Now it's pointing to the expansion valve. Too bad the vibe doesn't have an orifice tube! From the ac compressor all the way to the fire wall. Gets really cold and then the frost starts forming. Low side starts freezing almost immediately. So finally I got time to take it to my buddies shop. Turn to vent, ac off, and minutes later I start to feel air. Same thing stops blowing after maybe 20 minutes of driving. ![]() Now it'd getting cooler outside (Chicago area) And after 10 minutes or so air stops again. Shut ac off and maybe 3 minutes later I will get air movement out of the vents. With the ac on after driving for a while the vents will stop blowing. Now I have a bit more information to give. I've posted a couple threads with no reply. I've been having troubles with my ac in my 2006 vibe.
